Point Cook Town Centre has several changes and events in the school holiday period. Families planning a visit can find activities at the outdoor court and an indoor makers market, while shoppers may need a different route between the car park and some stores.

The useful detail is where to go once you arrive. Event locations, the new customer care desk and temporary lift arrangements sit in different parts of the centre. Checking each before setting out should make a visit easier, especially for anyone bringing children or needing an accessible route.

A market in the Target Quadrant on Saturday

The next Cheeky Monkey Market is scheduled for Saturday 26 September at Stockland Point Cook. Stockland lists the hours as 9 am to 5 pm and places the pop-up markets in the Target Quadrant.

The organiser describes a family-friendly mix of handmade goods, gifts, fashion, homewares and local makers. These are categories of stalls, not a confirmed list of individual sellers. Check the Stockland market listing close to your visit for any change to the program.

The market is an occasion to browse small businesses inside the town centre rather than a separate street festival. When arranging to meet someone, use the Target Quadrant as the destination.

The market hours should not be assumed to apply to every store in the complex. If a particular purchase is the purpose of the trip, ask the seller or centre whether that stall is attending before relying on it.

Stockland also lists later Cheeky Monkey Market dates in October, November and December. Those dates are useful if this weekend does not work, but the centre says its market schedule is updated throughout the year.

Courtside returns for the school holidays

Stockland has scheduled its next Courtside School Holidays session for Thursday 1 October. The earlier session was listed for Thursday 24 September, so the October date is the one still ahead at publication.

Time: 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm.
Place: Outdoor basketball court near EB Games and the Target Quadrant entrance.
Activities: Games, basketball challenges, hands-on activities, retailer prizes, a community sausage sizzle and the Wyndham Street Surfer Bus. Little Boomers Basketball is listed as taking part.
Booking: None required.

This is a different event from the weekly youth Courtside program run with Wyndham Youth Services. The holiday session is presented for families and all ages.

The centre warns that poor weather can cause a late cancellation. Check its Courtside event page on the day before travelling specifically for it.

An outdoor court is a convenient meeting point, but it is sensible to plan for the weather. The local guide to things to do with kids lists other Point Cook options if a court session is cancelled or does not suit your family.

Treat any offer from a participating retailer as subject to that retailer's own conditions. Stockland has not published a complete list of prizes or participating shops on the event page.

The Woolworths Quadrant lift is temporarily closed

The current stage of Stockland's lift upgrade affects Lift 6 in the Woolworths Quadrant. Stockland schedules that closure from 21 September to 23 October. The work follows earlier scheduled stages in the Coles and Target quadrants.

The centre says retailers remain open. It lists other lifts, external entrances, car park access points, travelators and stairs as alternative routes.

Those alternatives are not interchangeable for every visitor. Stockland notes that Level 1 access may be by stairs only in some areas during the works.

Anyone using a wheelchair, mobility aid or pram should check the route to a specific shop or service before leaving home. Do not assume the closest underground parking lobby has a working lift.

The centre says signs will guide visitors and staff can help identify another route. Its lift upgrade notice gives the staged timetable and a contact number for access questions.

Before a visit that depends on step-free access:

Identify the exact store or service you need.
Ask the centre team which entrance and lift currently serve it.
Choose parking and allow extra time based on that route.

This is particularly relevant during a busy market or school holiday session, when changing quadrants after parking could add an avoidable trip. The directory's Point Cook amenities page provides broader local facilities information. Stockland remains the current source for this temporary closure.

Customer Care has moved to the Centre Management Office

Stockland announced on 21 September that its Customer Care team had moved to the Centre Management Office. It continues to handle gift card purchases, lost property enquiries, centre information, accessibility assistance and general support.

Stockland gives two ways to reach the office:

From inside the centre: Head towards the Pop Up Park. Enter Lobby 3 between Chef Wong and Golden Noodle House, take the lift to Level 1 and follow the signs.
From the Coles underground car park: Access Lobby 3 directly, then follow the centre's directions to Customer Care.

The relocation is easy to miss if you have previously used a different desk. Stockland says Customer Care is available during centre trading hours, but individual store hours can differ.

Its Customer Care notice gives the directions and phone number, (03) 9395 4722. If you need accessibility assistance to reach the office itself, call first to confirm the current route while lift works continue.

Plan one visit around the right entrance

For Saturday's market, start with the Target Quadrant and use the centre's event listing to confirm it is proceeding. For the next Courtside session, the outdoor court by the Target Quadrant entrance is the stated venue.

If the trip includes Woolworths Quadrant stores or Customer Care, look up the current lift route before choosing a car park. These locations can be combined in one town centre visit, but they have different access details.

Point Cook residents who want to find a shop or service beyond the event program can use the local business directory as a starting point. Confirm current hours and access with the business.
