Point Cook Local Biz is an independent directory and suburb guide for Point Cook and its neighbours. It exists because the suburb has thousands of businesses, more than six thousand at last count, and very few of them are easy to find in one place, especially the ones without a shopfront.
What you will find here
Around 690 listings covering local trades, shops, clinics, schools, childcare, community facilities, parks and property services, plus a set of guides to living in Point Cook that use official data rather than opinion. Each listing shows whether it is in Point Cook, in a nearby suburb, or a business that travels to Point Cook.
Independence and how listings are treated
The directory is not affiliated with Wyndham City Council, any government agency, or any business listed here. A listing is not an endorsement, and paying for a placement does not make a business more trustworthy.
Paid placements exist and are always labelled as paid. They never change the suburb statistics, the comparison tables, or corrections. Reviews and ratings are not sold, and no one can buy a better position in a factual table.

How listings are built, in plain terms
Imported records are matched by name, phone and address so the same business does not appear twice, and where two sources describe the same venue the records are merged. Separate branches and campuses stay separate. Every imported listing carries a source note showing where it came from, when it was collected and that the business has not confirmed it. Source verification, ownership verification and payment status are three different things here, and none of them is implied by the others.
Business owners can claim their listing to correct details and add photos, and anyone can request a correction. Corrections are free and always will be.
What we deliberately leave out
Missing data is left blank or shown as not available, never filled with a guess. School catchments are not published because the zone geometry we hold is approximate, and a wrong catchment is worse than none. The composite livability score held in the project data is not published, because its weights and inputs have not been independently validated and it would not be honest to present a generated score as an official ranking. Ratings, review counts and photographs from Google Maps, Yelp and social media are not republished.
