If something on this site is wrong, out of date, or should not be published, please tell us. Corrections are free and are handled as a priority.

What you can ask us to fix

  • A business name, address, phone number, website or category that is wrong or out of date
  • A listing that has closed, moved or changed hands
  • A listing that should not be published, or that you want removed
  • A factual statistic or table entry that is wrong, if you can point us to the source
  • A broken link, a duplicated listing, or a listing that appears in the wrong suburb

What to include

  1. The listing name, or the page address (URL), so we can find the record.
  2. The exact field or figure that is wrong.
  3. What it should say instead.
  4. A source we can check, if you have one. For statistics, a link to the official publication is ideal.
  5. Your relationship to the business, if the request is about a business listing.
1. Find the record
Give the listing name or the page address so the right record is updated, not a similar one.
2. Say what is wrong
The exact field or figure, and what it should say instead. One line is fine.
3. Add a source if you can
A link to the business's own site or an official publication speeds things up, but is not required.
4. We verify, then update
We check against the source data, update or remove the record, and tell you what changed.

How to send it

Use the contact details on the Contact page. If you are the business owner and you want ongoing control of the listing rather than a one-off correction, ask to claim it. The Add Your Listing page explains how claims are verified.

What happens next

  • We check the request against the source data we hold and, where needed, against the official publication.
  • If we can verify the correction, we update the listing or page and note the change. If a listing should be removed, we remove it.
  • If we cannot verify a change, we will tell you why and what would help.
  • We do not charge for corrections, and we do not require you to have a paid placement to have a correction made.

Statistics corrections

Our statistics come from named government sources with stated periods. If a figure is wrong, we want to know. We will correct it and, where the correction changes a published figure, we will update the page rather than quietly editing the number.

Privacy and personal information

If a record contains personal information that should not be published, or you want it corrected or removed, use the same contact method. See the Privacy Policy for how personal information is handled.
